What’s Included?

  • All accommodation. Expect a mixture of hostel dorms and twin share rooms on your trip to Indonesia. All facilities are clean, comfortable, and loved by our previous travellers.

What’s Excluded?

  • International Flights. You will want to book a flight that arrives and departs from Denpasar Airport, Bali (DPS). Feel free to reach out to our lovely customer service team if you’d like help finding flights!
  • Your personal travel insurance.
  • Some meals. Meals start as affordably as £2 per plate for local dishes.
  • Optional activities. Our itinerary is pretty jam-packed with included activities, however should you choose to do more in your free time, this is at your own expense.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many countries can enter Indonesia without a visa for short stays (usually up to 30 days). Others may require a visa on arrival or a visa in advance. Check the Indonesian embassy’s website for details.
The currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). It’s advisable to carry cash for small purchases, as not all places accept credit cards, especially in rural areas.
Yes, credit cards are widely accepted in major cities and tourist areas, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and shops. Visa and MasterCard are the most common, but small businesses may only accept cash.
Yes, Indonesia is generally safe for tourists, but like anywhere, it’s wise to be cautious. Stay alert in crowded areas, avoid displaying valuables, and follow local laws and customs.
Indonesian cuisine is diverse and flavorful, featuring dishes like Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Satay (skewered meat), and Rendang (spicy beef stew). Street food is also popular and generally safe.
The official language is Bahasa Indonesia. English is spoken in tourist areas, but learning a few basic phrases in Bahasa can enhance your experience and is appreciated by locals.
It’s not advisable to drink tap water in Indonesia. Stick to bottled water, and avoid ice in drinks unless you’re sure it’s made from purified water.
Essentials include lightweight clothing, swimwear, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a power adapter (Type C or F). A sarong is useful for visiting temples.
When visiting temples, dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees), remove shoes before entering, and be quiet and respectful. Some temples may require a sarong, which can often be rented or borrowed at the entrance.
Seek medical help at local clinics or hospitals. Many tourist areas have English-speaking doctors. Travel insurance is essential for covering medical expenses.
